What others say

“This is to say an enormous thank you to you and the entire Packwood team for all you have done to nurture and educate our three children over the last sixteen years.  We are more than satisfied with the end product as indeed we hope you all are.

It seems a long time ago now since the diminutive figures of ****, ****, **** disappeared daily down the corridors of the Acorns. No little thanks are due to Elizabeth and Nicky for the foundations laid in these early days.  We can muse that those little acorns are no longer diminutive but I think now best described as “sturdy saplings”.

One of the best features of Packwood is its ability to adapt to a changing world whilst still retaining a steel spine of continuity with that remarkable backbone of teachers and support staff many of whom have been present throughout the sixteen years we have been Packwood parents.  I am reluctant to name names because as a result of my longevity my memory is failing, but Nick and Jane Jones, Peter Erskine, Howard  Bourne, Sir Antony and Roz Edwards spring to mind and our long association with Packwood means we are fortunate to have been fond memories of the Jordans, the Boyces, Peter Baker, Mr Lloyd-Jones and Mr Dobson.

I mentioned Packwood’s ability to adapt to change whilst retaining what is best in a traditional Prep School education and Nigel I think this is what you have achieved during your period as headmaster.  So a heartfelt thank you from the **** family for all you have done to make Packwood the place is it as we approach the end of the first decade of the 21st century.

It was ****’s 21st Birthday last week and looking at our three children on one of the now rare occasions when we see the trio together we are glad we made the sacrifices to give them each the education they have had and we feel that Packwood has given each of them the foundation to face the challenges of growing up and living in the modern world for which we thank you all.”
