What others say

“I would like to pass a heartfelt thanks to you and all the Packwood staff for 9 years of dedicated care and attention given to our 3 children.  There is no doubt that Packwood is a fine institution and all of them have benefited from their time with you, not only academically, but also from the chance to take part in sport and all the other activities on offer.  You have provided an excellent foundation for them to go on and develop at the next stage of their education.

After 9 years and of course some time at Packwood myself, we felt really in tune with how things are done, to the extent that we eventually knew exactly what to expect.  There are so many aspects of Packwood that we have enjoyed over the years but it is probably the community spirit that stands out more than anything else, although it would be unfair not to mention the incredibly polite children.  There has always been a welcome from staff at the beginning of term and after Exeats just when parents and children are probably at their most fragile. The friendly chats with staff, which left us with the confidence that the children were in good hands as we set off on one of the many long journeys south were invaluable.  The coffee and tea laid out for sporting events and after church on Sundays gave us an ideal chance to chat to other staff and parents many of whom we now regard as friends.

I must reiterate my thanks on Sports Day about your scheme for supporting servicemen. Having studied what is on offer at senior schools, it has proved to be by far the most consistent system. Over 9 years and 3 children, it amounted to a significant saving which has made the whole process of educating the children privately far easier.

When we first visited Packwood, I tried to maintain an incognito approach in order to keep an open mind, but failed dismally.  We were looked after very well and we had an excellent visit.  Everything about Packwood shone especially in comparison with a rather disappointing visit to a rival establishment the day before. I was working for **** at the time and I asked him how many prep schools he had visited before deciding on Packwood. He admitted that they had only ever looked at Packwood and after our visit, it was easy to reach the conclusion that traipsing any further round the country would be a complete waste of time.  It is a decision that **** and I have never regretted and we will all have fond memories of our children’s time at Packwood.”
