Sixes Music Competition

On Thursday 14th October Packwood's magnificent school theatre resounded to the strains of 'Songs from the Shows' as the children took part in the annual Sixes Music Competition. The inter-house competition was adjudicated this year by Roger Paul, Director of Music at Ellesmere College and was extremely closely contested with only eight points dividing first and last position. more...

Hot off the press

On Tuesday evenings this term a senior Newspaper Club has been run for the first time by Packwood’s Head of English, Roy Chambers. Participants have had an introduction to newspaper journalism and recently produced the first issue of ‘Packwood Life’. The children had a great time researching and writing all the articles and then using the IT suite to produce the finished paper. Copies were distributed to the libraries and every classroom in the school. Work has already begun on the next edition which is due out later this term. more...
