Acorns Book Week

Picture the scene in a Packwood Acorns assembly the week before half term. We are talking about books and the question is asked: "What do you think a mobile library is?" National award for Tom

During assembly at Packwood on Monday 15th November, Form 5 pupil, Tom Baines, was presented with a prestigious national award in recognition of the inspirational way he has coped with a severe spinal injury. Almost three years ago Tom was involved in a serious car accident which left him paralysed from the chest down and he now uses a wheelchair. more...

Boots to Cambodia

At the beginning of term Assistant Head, Ms Gough, launched an appeal for second hand football boots to send to the children at the Stung Meanchey school in Phnom Penh. Over 150 pairs have been donated and they will be shipped out to Cambodia at the end of this month. more...

Biathlon success

On Sunday 14th November Miss Evans, Mr Nogues and Mr Weston accompanied a team of 12 Packwood children to Solihull to compete in the West Midlands leg of the GB Schools Biathlon. The event comprised a 50m swim and 500m run (100m and 1km respectively, for the top year) competing against over 300 children from across the region. more...
